My Google alert recently notified me of a new mention of "Jim Wright" and "real James Bond."
Turned out to be an article in a Malaysian newspaper's website, based on an article I wrote for The Smithsonian magazine after I wrote The Real James Bond (from Schiffer Publishing):

What is the subject of the above painting?
Where is it hanging?
(If anybody knows who painted this and when, let me know!)
Several folks got he location right -- the Hudson River Palisades. The artist, courtesy of John Pastore and Tom Jaeger.
Tom writes: "It is signed by Ruth Wilcox in the lower right hand corner. Ruth Dawes Wilcox. Wilcox (1908-1989), was an artist from Closter. Knowing some of your interests, I would guess Stateline Lookout and hung in the State Line Cafe."

One respondent thought there might be a rail line at the base of the cliffs, but I think the smoke might have been from a campfire.
