Allendale’s Butterfly Summer has stretched into fall.
Learn about the life cycle and raising of Monarch butterflies, the state of the population and what you can do to increase their numbers in a free talk on Thursday, Oct. 13, at 7 p.m. at Lee Memorial Library.
Allendale Master Gardener Kathryn Sauerborn will how to plan and plant a butterfly garden with milkweed and nectaring plants.
Each participant will receive free native milkweed seeds for fall/winter planting.
I have heard Kathryn speak, and she is excellent.
The talk is for adults and families.
