Back in 2003, an Hour on the Tower team led by Stiles Thomas led an assault on the record 42 species seen in one hour.

By the way, the original record was set 32 years ago, and is still unbroken.

    The folks participating in yesterday's Hour on the Tower tied the long-standing record for bird species seen in one hour. Congratulations to the crew -- Alan Pomerantz, John Bird, Gaby Schmitt, Julie McCall and Charley West.
