Monday Morning Mystery: Caribbean Edition

BOTWI Screen Shot 2019-08-27 at 3.26.20 PMThis is one of the most collectible editions of Birds of the West Indies because it was featured in the  2002 007 movie, Die Another Day.

Pierce Brosnan's James Bond poses as an ornithologist, carrying this book (with Bond's name crossed out).

The question is: What bird is on the cover? (I do know the answer...)

Monday: Books, CDs, T-shirts For Sale

IMG_1357Photographer Jerry Barrack and I will be selling and signing Celery Farm books on Monday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Celery Farm kiosk (Franklin Turnpike parking lot) to benefit the Friends of the Lee Memorial Library.

But wait! There's more. Stephanie Seymour will be on hand to sell her CD, "There Are Birds," which was the subject of the recent (and terrific) Fyke Zoom talk.

We'll also sell Celery Farm T-shirts for $15 (two mediums are left, lots of larges, and no extra-larges that I know of). Plus, we'll sell the book about the Celery Farm's woody plants by Edith Wallace, Nancy Bristow and Deedee Burnside. (Proceeds from these sales benefit Fyke.)

Hope to see you there.

Sorry to say that we have sold out of Celery Farm caps.

Celery Farm Book, CD Sale Postponed

IMG_1357 Due to the uncertain weather forecast for Sunday, photographer Jerry Barrack and I  and singer-songwriter Stephanie Seymour are postponing our little sale of Celery Farm books and T-shirts and the CD "There Are Birds" on Sunday morning.  It will just be too wet.

We are tentatively shooting for Monday (Memorial Day) from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the kiosk at the Celery Farm's Franklin Turnpike parking lot.

The forecast is iffy for Monday as well, so check this space at 7 p.m. There are brds CD coveron Sunday before heading over to the Celery Farm on Monday.

Note: Sorry to say that we have sold out of Celery Farm caps, and have only large Celery Farm T-shirts.

Thank you, and stay dry!
