High Mountain Dragonflies

If you park near the end of Scioto Drive in Franklin Lakes and walk straight into the High Mountain preserve for 150 yards, you should reach Franklin Clove and a neat place to see dragonflies.

By the way, that old Fyke Crhristmas Bird Count map has Scioto Drive continuing into Passaic County and meeting another road, for further development, no doubt. You can also see how few homes there were back then, and how Interstate 287 was supposed to go far closer to the lake itself.

Good thing it was saved by Wayne Township, the state and The Nature Conservancy.
