Bonus Monday Mystery
April 30, 2018
At the Celery Farm at lunchtime, I saw this elusive Redstart, plus two species of birds that are famous for their twitchy tails.
Who are they?

This item is about a half-foot long, and pictured sideways here so it fits the blog better.
It will come in handy for certain critters in the next month, and they only use it once.
What is it?
Saturday, May 5 — May Walk at the Celery Farm
This walk is for nature-lovers and birders of all levels. We'll look for butterflies, bugs, weird plants and especially our feathered friends. It is prime time for birding.
Meet at 8 a.m. at Green Way. Long pants and socks are a good idea; so are drinking water and bug spray.
Leader: Jim Wright. Register for this walk by e-mail to celeryfarm (at) gmail.com.
Saturday, May 5 -- Celery Farm Volunteer Opportunity
Following the walk (10 a.m.), we’ll wood-chip the low spots on the trails and remove invasives. 90 minutes.
BYOWG (Bring your own work gloves). celeryfarm (at) gmail.com.
Great group, great weather and some excellent birds, including an American Bittern (briefly), a small flock of Cedar Waxwing, Osprey, Red-tail, and several species of warbler.
My twin boys spotted these twins and their Mom running around our backyard this morning.
There is a fox den under my shed near the Celery Farm.
Here are a couple of videos Mike did as well. (Thanks, Mike!)
