Last week I wrote:

I've seen these guys in the past week or so near the summit of High Mountain and in the Pequannock Watershed (Though not at the Celery Farm).

What is it?

The answer: Red-spotted Purple. Congrats to Deedee Burnside, Marianne Herrmann and Jill Brown, who all answered correctly.

These tall slender plants with yellow flowers are popping up all over the Celery Farm, on the summit of High Mountain and elsewhere. What are they, and why are they a pain to photograph?
