One of my favorite relatives from Maryland writes:
Found this guy resting on my siding this morning drinking my coffee.
Correct ID would be the best, but will settle for something funny.

My latest column for The Record is on The Raptor Trust in Morris County, bouncing back after a series of setbacks.

Did a double loop around the CF today, with clippers and a point-and-shoot. No binoculars.
Biggest highlight was a Great Spangled Fritillary at the Butterfly Garden. (If you love Cabbage Whites, they were here by the dozen.)
Second-biggest highlight was meeting a charming family visiting from Scotland, who loved the Celery Farm.
Third-biggest (secondhand) highlight was a woman and her three young daughters who saw a Red Fox.
How cool is all that?
