Bergen County Audubon Wins the Crowphy!

DSCN9297-001We are theoretically happy to announce that we think Bergen County Audubon Society won the inaugural Christmas Bird Count competition and will take ownership of  the coveted Crowphy (above) for the 2016 calendar year.

The final tally, we think, was 84 species to 80. We're not sure why we are writing in the first person plural.

Congratulations, BCAS! This is akin to winning the Heisman Trophy, except much, much different in almost all respects.

Next December, Fyke will have a four species handicap.
