You are cordially invited to test your birding skills and powers of observation in the world's first Art of Birding competition on Saturday, June 6, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum in Oradell.
The event is free, the museum is beautiful, and free refreshments and door prizes are provided.
Participants from the Fyke Nature Association and the Bergen County Audubon Society will be divided into teams, with the goal of finding and identifying the most birds and most bird species in the paintings and sculpture on display on the museum’s first floor and patio.
(Clue 1: There’s quite a few, but not at all overwhelming.)
(Clue 2: One of the countable birds is in the photo above.)
