Had great looks at the EASTERN PHOEBE along the trail in the "dead
zone" Monday morning. A Phoebe has been reported at CF for the last few
days--and I presume this is the same bird. This represents the first
FEB. record for the preserve.
Whether or not this is the same Phoebe
present just before the Christmas count that somehow successfully
over-wintered, or a very early migrant is anyone's guess.
2 singing Winter Wrens were a pleasant surprise to hear as well.
