I typically don't post items on this blog that are so far afield, but this seemed noteworthy:
Jana Brusich, a friend of this blog, writes:
A Bobcat
-- and endangered species in New Jersey -- was fatally hit by a car on State Highway 206 in Sussex early
Wednesday afternoon. There was no radio transmitter collar on the Bobcat.
I've spent
much time out in the field photographing wildlife, and I have never seen a
Bobcat in the wild. Even in death, this Bobcat provided me conformation that they still do thrive in NJ.
(Thanks, Jana.)

A photo of the dead Bobcat follows. (You'll have to scroll down; do not want anyone to see it by accident....)
