My talk about the Meadowlands will be rescheduled.
The concern is for snow over the course of the evening, and slippery conditions. Better to be safe. I will be at the Municipal Building from 7:30 to 8 or so in case people still show up....

A Bobcat -- and endangered species in New Jersey -- was fatally hit by a car on State Highway 206 in Sussex early Wednesday afternoon. There was no radio transmitter collar on the Bobcat.I've spent much time out in the field photographing wildlife, and I have never seen a Bobcat in the wild. Even in death, this Bobcat provided me conformation that they still do thrive in NJ.

I am all set to present my slide show and talk on "The
Nature of the Meadowlands," the Meadowlands Commission's new coffee-table book, on Friday night -- but please watch the weather.
Snow is in some forecasts, and if roads appear to be getting treacherous by 6:30 p.m., we will reschedule.
