I photographed this small bird near my feeder earlier this month -- the last Monday Morning Mystery of 2012.

Can you ID it?

Not sure if the bird ever went inside the store, but it was my first Bergen County Wild Turkey for the year....

The way it was eating, I don't think it was stuffed.

Scott Weston writes: "We have been having quite a outbreak of sightings of Barred Owls all over Massachusetts, especially coastal. (There are even a bunch in downtown Boston.)"

I saw one in Bergen County last week.  Very cool. (Thanks, Scott!)

Rob Fanning mentioned that he saw a Pine Siskin at my feeder (visible from the Celery Farm) the other day, and Stiles Thomas mentioned he just had one at his feeder.

I looked out the window and there is a Siskin at my feeder. That is one busy Siskin. :- )

Something to keep an eye out for -- looks like the Siskins are back, if in smaller numbers.
