In Memory of Thomas Bosakowski
March 03, 2012
A friend passed along The Record's obituary today on Thomas Bosakowski, who belonged to the Fyke Nature Association before I moved to Allendale.
Mr. Bosakowski was president of Fyke for a decade and, as the obituary notes, was instrumental in banning fishing from the Celery Farm and in researching the Red-shouldered Hawk.
These days, only birds and minks are allowed to fish in the natural area --although we still find fishing lures left from the old days. And we love to see Red-shouldered Hawks fly overhead and make their piercing calls.
The obituary is here.
