Red-shoulder Book for iPads!

IMG_0139
I am pleased to announce that "Survival: The Red-shouldered Hawks of Allendale" is now available as a iBook download for iPads, iPod Touches and iPhones (I have to say that it's pretty cool on an iPad).

The download is free. Playing a major supporting role is The Raptor Trust, an amazing hawk rehabilitation center that saved the life of a Red-shouldered Hawk named  Red-shoulder cover 1Laura -- the main protagonist of the book.

Link to the download site, including a 15-page previews, is here.

The paper-version of the book is beautiful but expensive. The iPad version will (I hope) put "Survival" in the hands of far more bird-lovers for less than cost of postage for the book.

Full details follow.

Monday Morning Mystery 013012

P1080099
After the first January snowfall, my wife and I walked around the Celery Farm, photographing locales -- some easily identified, some difficult.

They form a new series of Monday Morning Mysteries.  Diehard Celery Farmers should get most of these, but some ain't easy.

Where in the Celery Farm are we?
