For those keeping score at home, this week's Monday Morning Mystery was indeed a female Purple Finch.

Marsh Warden Emeritus Stiles Warden reports that on this day in 1959, he had three Eastern Bluebirds in his yard. On the following day, he saw a then-rare Red-tailed Hawk. Not that's a fact (or two) o' the day.
