The Celery Farm Christmas Bird Counters graciously allowed me to tag along on their hour-long loop.
  The fearsome fivesome -- Ken Prytherch, Charlie Mayhood, Stephanie Seymour, Rob Fanning and Stiles Thomas -- saw more than two dozen species.

    Highlights included a Marsh Wren, Virginia Rail, Cooper's Hawk (above), Great Blue Heron, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Cedar Waxwing, Screech Owl, Fox Sparrow, Swamp Sparrow and Black Duck.
